You know why you end up with so many things you don't use or wear? It's the animal in you.
Your animal wants to hunt and if you are like me, going shopping is like hunting.
Look and look and look, then discover and pounce: grab it, bag it, bring it home strapped in safe in your car, put it in your trophy collection - closet, shelf, cupboard, box, out of sight.
I find that shopping calms me, especially when hunting through bins of used bargain CDs and DVDs. It's the thrill of the hunt but when I get the stuff home, meh. On to the next hunt. I like looking for books in the library too because it's a variation of hunt and pounce - it's research and pounce, then return the kill back to the source. Also relaxing except taking the kill back to the source. Maybe I need a Kindle.
